How many shims come with the Mattes Half Pad?

The Mattes Half Pad includes the CORRECTION® system with two pockets. Each order comes with six 5mm-thick POLY-FLEX felt shims (three for each pocket) to allow for precise saddle fit adjustments.

What are the benefits of the Mattes SPINEFREE design?

The SPINEFREE® design prevents any pressure or rubbing on the withers and the spine. This is essential for horse comfort and performance, especially for horses with prominent withers.

Is the Mattes Half Pad breathable?

Yes. Unlike foam or gel pads, Mattes uses POLY-FLEX felt and polyester wadding. This combination ensures the entire pad remains fully breathable while maintaining its shape under pressure.
